Start alongside the Sarntal Ski Hut (1614 m) near the Auener Hof on footpath No. 2 to the Auen Alp (1788 m) and the Auenjoch (1924 m). At the Auenjoch the path heads to the south-east to the nearby summit plateau (2003 m) with its mystical stone columns, the Stoanernen Mandln (Stone Men Cairns).
